Local Startup Yenir, Focusing on Food Waste, Received Investment from Founder One.

Local startup Yenir received investment from Founder One, focusing on reducing food waste. However, the financial details of the investment have not been disclosed yet. If you remember, Yenir received an investment in November 2022 at a valuation of 30 million TL. Then, in June 2023, it made a round for a second investment at a valuation of $5 million. The lead investor of this round was Eksim Ventures. Apart from this, Founder One, Yahya Ülker and some individual investors also took part in this round.

Airbnb'nin Şirket Etkinlikleri Deneyimi Sunan Girişimi: Naboo

Naboo is a platform with an Airbnb-like working principle that allows companies to book private properties for corporate events such as camps and seminars.

France-based Naboo was founded by Antoine Servant, Maxime Eduardo and Lucien Bredin. With a working principle similar to Airbnb, the company allows companies to book private properties for corporate events such as camps and seminars. Additionally, Naboo offers online experiences for companies to plan seminars.

The company partners with caterers across the country and provides transportation support for large groups while taking the experience to a new level with activities that can be popular for off-site meetings.

Fraud Committed with Deepfake Technology Lost 25 Million Dollars to a Financial Employee.

Deepfake technology has the potential to be used by malicious people because it can realistically imitate people's facial expressions and tones of voice. This may mislead potential victims and cause financial losses.

According to the Hong Kong police, a financial employee lost $25 million in such a scam. Fraudsters impersonated the company's CFO using deepfake technology.

The incident began when the employee received a message purporting to be from the company's UK-based CFO. The message in question stated that a confidential action had to be taken. At first the employee thought it was a fraud attempt. However, there was a person in the video conference who looked and sounded very similar to the CFO.

Yandex Sells Its Assets in Russia for $5.2 Billion

Yandex, known as Russia's Google, is withdrawing from Russia. The Netherlands-based parent company Yandex NV sold its assets in Russia to a consortium of Russian investors for 475 billion rubles, well below market value. Moscow's harsh attitude towards Yandex, which was accused of hiding war-related information from the Russian public after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, was known. However, the latest agreement, which the company said was "the product of a comprehensive planning and negotiation process that lasted more than 18 months", was welcomed by Russian officials. "This is what we wanted to achieve several years ago, when Yandex was in the crosshairs of the West. Yandex is more than a company, it is an asset of Russian society," said Anton Gorelkin, Deputy Chairman of Russia's State Duma Information Policy Committee. With the acquisition agreement, Yandex became the country's largest technology company, and its assets in the country became completely Russian ownership.

Bluesky, which accepts users by invitation, is now available for use by everyone.

While Bluesky has only been recruiting users by invitation until now, it is now available to everyone. This change means that anyone who wishes can now easily become a member of the system without receiving an invitation. The platform became operational in the spring of last year and reached approximately 3 million users, although it was limited to invitations. However, now that it is available to everyone, this number is expected to increase rapidly. Some problems, especially in large platforms such as X, direct people to alternative platforms. Therefore, Bluesky's public availability and possible problems on other platforms may increase users' interest in Bluesky.
